Wind ensemble direction

Matthew Jackson

Matthew has been playing trombone in wind bands since the start of high school. He joined his first youth symphony orchestra, the MRYO, in 2016 as principal bass trombonist and played with them for two and a half years. He has since performed in a number of renowned ensembles in the Montreal area such as the McGill Wind Orchestra, the Montreal Youth Symphony Orchestra, and the McGill Jazz Orchestra. Matthew is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Bass Trombone Performance at McGill University with Trevor Dix, and minoring in Music Education.
